Today Lamborghini unveiled their new SUV concept in Beijing. It is named the URUS and is a breathtaking car to see. Check out Lamborghini’s new homepage for more information about the car and a gallery of pictures. I will post more pictures here and a discussion on the car later this week but I wanted everyone to get the earliest first look possible at this amazing car. This is the car that I saw a couple of weeks ago in New York.
I have to say that I was skeptical of the idea initially but their execution is spot on. If everything gets green lit, this will be an awesome addition to the Lamborghini lineup.
There has been a lot of talk throughout the internet about the third model to come from Lamborghini. As I had said previously, over the next three years there will be three significant unveilings from Lamborghini – a roadster version of the LP700-4 Aventador, a replacement for the Gallardo, and a third model. That third model could have been either a 4 door coupe/sedan similar to the 2008 Estoque Concept or an SUV in the vein of the LM002. This week, Italian Magazine – Quattroruote has released a story claiming that Lamborghini will unveil their SUV concept with a 700 hp version of the 5.2 liter Gallardo V10, an aluminum space frame, carbon fiber body panels, and weighing in at less than 4,400 pounds at the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year. Tough to say how true it might be, but that is the rumor!
When we started dating Megan drove the complete Anti-Lamborghini. It was a 2000 Ford Mustang V6 Automatic Convertible. It is incredible that I dated her in spite of this but she had other redeeming characteristics! Last year we replaced that car with this – a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S. It is Jarama Beige Metallic with a dark tan interior. We searched long and hard for a Megan-Mobile. She was much less decisive than I am regarding car choices. We wound up with this. We bought it with around 43k miles and it now has 57k or so. Here are some pictures.
