Over the weekend, I went on a 1,960 mile road trip to Pennsylvania and New York. I took the CL55 from the NY to LA drive and it was great to get it out on the road. It is tough to imagine a better car for the trip. I have great group of friends and customers in the area and it was awesome to spend some time with them.
It was a rare time when the CL was actually clean so some photos were in order. It is still generally set up as we had it for the cross country run. That still serves me well for this type of trip.
I had a road closure in West Virginia to contend with. Required an hour long detour to bypass five miles of interstate. Took some cool pictures of the city of Pittsburgh from Mount Washington Heading out for a rainy Cars & Coffee. Then we went over to set up for the Hangar Party. The venue and sky were perfect for some Top Gear style photos. Several of the guys that were at the party have prolific YouTube channels so we filmed a bit of a livestream. Here is a link to it. If you are in the Pittsburgh area, this is a party you do not want to miss. It was an honor to be their guest and I had a blast. Thanks for the hospitality guys!
After the party I went up to New York to visit with Brock Yates, the man that started the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash in the 1970s. The trip was great and I had a blast.
