The 2015 Geneva Motor Show is coming up in just a few weeks with many greatly anticipated supercars confirmed to be introduced for the first time. Here is a brief breakdown of the models that will be shown at the show-
Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and Vulcan: Aston Martin has teased two new vehicles in the past few weeks, the Vantage GT3 and the Vulcan. The Vantage GT3 is expected to be a street-legal version of the company’s V12 Vantage GT3 Racecar. The Vantage GT3 is thought to only be available for European customers, but Aston Martin has yet to confirm such rumors. As for the Vulcan, Aston Martin has only released a teaser audio clip of the car. The car is predicted to be highly limited in production and only available for track use, alike the new Ferrari FXXK and McLaren P1 GTR.
The final Bugatti Veyron: After nearly 10 years of production, Bugatti is finally finishing up the last of the 450 Veyrons. With the 450th Veyron, Bugatti is planning a unique special edition that will likely feature more power than any other Veyron thus far.
Ferrari 488 GTB: Ferrari has been producing the 458 since 2010 and some 25,000 cars later, they have taken to a new direction for the replacement. The 488 GTB varies from the 458 in many ways, but one of the key changes to the car is the newly featured turbocharged 3.8 liter V8 engine. The new engine will have 660 horsepower, a 90 hp increase from its predecessor. The car’s name originates from the displacement per cylinder of the car, 488 cc. Aside from the engine changes, the 488 features a significant facelift from the 458, as shown in the photos above.
Koenigsegg Regera and Agera RS: While little is known about the newest Koenigseggs, the company has teased the release of two cars at Geneva. The Regera, which is named after the Swedish word meaning “to reign”, is expected to put out over 1,300 horsepower and take the title of a “Megacar”, first adopted on the One:1 last year at Geneva. The company has disclosed that the car will be a hybrid with 700 horsepower from the electric motors alone, 2.5 times that of the Porsche 918 Spyder. In addition to the Regera, Koenigsegg plans on releasing an Agera RS, which is supposed to have a power output between 1,200 and 1,300 horsepower.
Lamborghini Aventador SV: Lamborghini has been producing the Aventador since 2012, and following its line of V12 predecessors, it will be upgraded in the much anticipated SV. The SV is predicted to have 750 horsepower and various other mechanical changes. The car is also receiving a facelift which will come in the form of a new front bumper, a new shape for the exhaust pipes, a factory wing, and many other changes.
McLaren 675LT: McLaren has been teasing the newest model for almost a month, but the final product was finally leaked in a photo by Dutch site “AutoGespot” in an article several days ago. The new car will have 675 horsepower, a significant increase from the current 650S. In addition to power increases, the spy shot of the rear reveals a new shape for the exhaust pipes as well as more defined lines than the 650S. They will also show the P1 GTR.
Porsche Cayman GT4: Porsche has only been producing the newest Cayman for a short time, but they have already taken to producing a track edition of the car. The Cayman GT4 will have a 385 horsepower flat six engine will only come as a manual. The GT4 is expected to hit showrooms by late summer with a starting MSRP of $86,000.
